On February 15th, BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) will be holding the second session of Care to Chat season 10 at the Terminal City Club. Titled Time to Care: What is the appropriate number of care hours?, this session will feature long-time broadcaster Lynda Steele as a moderator.
Steele has worked in a multitude of media outlets, including Global Edmonton as anchor for 17 years. She previously hosted Steele on Your Side, a consumer investigative segment on CTV Vancouver, as well as the Lynda Steele Show on CKNW Radio. Steele currently hosts Chek TV’s Steele and Vance Show alongside broadcaster Jody Vance.
Last year, Steele was the first recipient of the Family Champion Award at the 8th Annual BC Care Awards. Caring for her elderly father while putting her career on pause, Steele was chosen due to her commitment to not only providing care, but also for bringing light to the needs of other British Columbians when it comes to the quality of care and support for seniors.
Join us as our panel discusses the four-hour standard in seniors care and explore the meaning of the policy for the care sector.
