The BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) is pleased to announce a Call for Presenters for our 40th Annual Conference on May 28-31, 2017, in Whistler, British Columbia.
The theme for the 2017 conference is ‘Providing 40 Years of C.A.R.E: Collaboration, Achievement, Research and Excellence’ and will feature several streams including Residential Care, Workplace Health and Safety, and a mixed stream of Home Care & Support, Assisted Living, and Faith-Based Care.
“Similar to previous years, the BCCPA hopes again to receive a good number of submissions that deal with many of the important issues facing the continuing care sector and seniors care” says Michael Kary, Director of Policy and Research.
Last year’s conference proved to be the most successful conference in BCCPA history, with over 450 stakeholders attending the sold out conference including service providers, commercial delegates and government officials from across Canada who participated in panel discussions and speaker presentations. Our 40th anniversary Conference is poised to be our most successful yet. Building on last year’s conference and the collaborations begun at the Inaugural BC Continuing Care Collaborative, this year’s conference will be extended an additional day in order to continue to discuss and address the many issues facing seniors and the continuing care sector.
We invite you to submit an abstract of what you propose to share with delegates at the 40th Annual BCCPA Annual Conference. Slots of 45 – 60 minutes are available.
Presentations may take the form of a panel discussion or workshop. Other formats will also be considered. Preference will be given to presentations that are interactive, engaging, and provide practical solutions to current challenges in the sector.
BCCPA and non-BCCPA members are eligible to submit a proposal. Applicant speakers will be required to register for the conference at their own expense at the reduced speaker rate of $640.
