The 38th Annual BC Care Providers Association Conference took place from May 24-26 in Whistler, B.C. The theme of this year’s conference was Sustainability Through Innovation, and the majority of speakers stayed true to this theme during their presentations. This included keynote speaker and former Premier of Prince Edward Island, Robert Ghiz.
Ghiz has been heavily involved in the health care system for several years. In 2012, along with Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall, Ghiz co-founded the Health Innovation Working Group, which assembled Premiers and Health Ministers from all provinces and territories across Canada to come together to address the many issues facing the health care system.
