In 2012, the BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) made an application with WorkSafeBC to establish a new workplace safety association for the continuing care sector — SafeCare BC. Based on a successful model in Alberta, SafeCare BC will help reduce the severity and frequency of workplace injuries.
A final informational teleforum will be held on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. (PDT). The focus will be on ‘next steps for SafeCare BC.’ The BCCPA is hopeful that WorkSafeBC will then provide us with positive news regarding our application.
