On August 10th, 2018 the B.C. Ministry of Health announced $2.6 million of funding in the first period of applications for the Seniors Safety and Quality Improvement Program (SSQIP).
A SSQIP summary for the first period of applications is now published and can be reviewed here.
Initially, BCCPA allocated up to $1.2 million of funding for the first period of applications. However, due to the high volume of applications received, $2.6 million of SSQIP funding was approved. The first application period results align closely with the province-wide needs assessment, completed in September 2017, which identified equipment needs for the provision of safe and high quality care to B.C. seniors.
The next SSQIP application period is set to open on August 28th, 2018 with an allocation of up to $2 million in funding.
If you have any questions, please read the SSQIP FAQs and the step-by-step application guide, or contact the Director of Programs Snezana Ristovski.
BCCPA would like to thank the SSQIP Advisory Committee for their support in helping establish this important program.
