Since 2006, Concerts in Care has brought the rich experience of performance arts to seniors in care. That is why BC Care Providers Association and EngAge BC are thrilled for the return of Concerts in Care to the 10th Annual BC Care Awards on February 27th at the Fairmont Empress Victoria.
Now in its remarkable 19th season, the Health Arts Society’s Concerts in Care program continues to bridge the gap between the professional performance community and elder audiences in care homes across B.C. With a commitment to enriching lives through music, Concerts in Care brings musical performances directly to seniors in care. Since its inception, Concerts in Care has captivated audiences with over 11,000 concerts throughout the province. This initiative has touched the hearts of countless individuals in various healthcare settings, including palliative care, psychiatric care, and beyond. Remarkably, in conjunction with sister societies across the nation, the Health Arts Society has become the largest arts presenter in Canada dedicated to audiences in health care and retirement communities.
