“We are once again grateful to the Province for this special proclamation to mark today as B.C. Seniors Care Providers Day,” says BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) and EngAge BC CEO, Terry Lake.

“From those working with seniors living in a care home or at home, to those who operate care homes or assisted living residences, everyone working tirelessly in supporting health, safety and well-being of seniors across B.C. deserves to be recognized, honoured and celebrated.”

This declaration follows the 10th Annual BC Care Awards, which took place in Victoria yesterday evening to celebrate the commitment and inspiring work of individuals who provide the best care possible.

Minister of Health, Hon. Adrian Dix presented the awards for Care Provider of the Year (home health, assisted living and long-term care), Family Champion of the Year, the new category of Workplace of the Year, and the coveted Ed Helfrich Award for Long-Service Excellence.
