Heather Martin, Owner Director

Heather Martin, the owner of Comfort Keepers, leads an organization dedicated to supporting seniors and their families through various care services. Under her leadership, families benefit from specially trained caregivers, companionship, medication reminders, respite care, Alzheimer’s and dementia care, and personalized care plans. Heather encourages her staff to focus on tasks that engage seniors physically, mentally, and emotionally, fostering authentic and caring relationships. Committed to Elevating the Human Spirit™, Heather nurtures an in-home care network primarily for seniors, empowering them to maintain independence and find joy in everyday moments. With two decades of senior care experience, she understands that true care starts in the heart and can transform lives, create lasting friendships, and elevate spirits. Heather also prioritizes individualized care plans, including physical safety, emotional health, and socialization, and has received Exemplary Standing with Accreditation Canada to ensure the highest quality services for her clients.

From a family caregiver:

“One of the bright times in both of our lives is when a Comfort Keeper comes over to our home, twice a month, to take care of my husband while I enjoy some time recharging my batteries and reconnecting with others.  Comfort Keepers have been a breath of fresh air for both of us.  I know that for a few hours, I am leaving my husband in capable hands. Those are my guilt free times and an opportunity to do “normal” activities!  That time is a lifesaver for me and a chance for my husband to be with someone other than me.”

From Digital Inclusion Coordinator at Brella:

“Heather is an amazing member of our community, consistently maintaining communication with both the Dementia Caregiver and Family Services and my Digital Inclusion program. Beyond providing much-needed respite for our caregivers, she goes the extra mile by sharing our online events with her community. Heather is a reliable ally when it comes to boosting our event attendance, always considering my workflow and offering her support to prevent me from becoming overwhelmed. Her contributions make her an outstanding asset to Brella and the community we serve.”
