How do you feel about joining a line that is 30,000 people long? The ageing market is growing faster than we think. It’s the big silent worry – In Canada, more than 600 people a day turn 65, and almost half of these people will require long-term care. Join aging expert, Neela White, in her keynote presentation at the Seniors Living Expo & Job Fair where she will guide attendees through the challenges surrounding aging and how to get started in having these conversations with family.
In this session, attendees will:
- Have a better understanding of longevity planning and what components should be included.
- Understand the need to plan financially for aging.
- Learn about demystifying preconceptions.
- Understand the criterion for long-term care and the cost of the waiting list.
- Be given conversation starters on the topic.
As a Portfolio Manager at 3Macs (a division of Raymond James Ltd.) with more than 23 years of experience working in the financial industry, Neela provides insight and inclusive wealth management services for a variety of clients. She is both a graduate from the University of Western Ontario with a degree in psychology, and from McMaster University with a degree in gerontology. Her relatable style inspires families to examine their financial plan and empowers then towards a fresh conversation about viable options. Neela presents an empathetic approach when assisting clients with their finances and draws on her firsthand experience of being caregiver to her parents for more than a decade.
