Join BCCPA in celebrating Health Care Assistant Day!

October 18th has been designated by the BC Government as Health Care Assistant Day in B.C. It marks an opportunity to recognize the more than 35,000 health care assistants for their exceptional dedication and commitment to caring for seniors across the province.

BC Care Providers Association and EngAge BC would like to thank all health care assistants for the important work they do to serve seniors.

“We are thankful to health care assistants across the province for all they have done to care for seniors this year,” says BCCPA CEO Terry Lake. “During these difficult times, we recognize the courage and resilience it takes to work on the frontlines. We are grateful for their determination to keep seniors safe and living with the best quality of life possible.”

Do you know a health care assistant or colleague who has gone above and beyond in delivering or supporting care for residents and clients in long-term care, assisted living or home health? The BC Care Provider of the Year Award is awarded to a care provider or support worker employed by one of our members who has demonstrated a commitment to quality, compassion and excellence in their work. This Health Care Assistant Day nominate an individual or employee who you feel deserves an acknowledgment for their passion and contribution!
