BC Care Providers Association and EngAge BC recently launched the #SeniorsGreetings initiative, inviting the public to send handwritten notes, drawings and videos to seniors living in B.C.’s long-term care and assisted living homes.
Since the launch, messages have been pouring in from all corners of the province.
The #SeniorsGreetings web portal, which serves as a hub for uploading greetings, allows care home staff to directly access and share messages with seniors.
To show messages to residents on iPads and laptops, please flip through our Flickr album. We have also compiled messages in a print-friendly PDF for providers who would like to print and display them in their homes.
“British Columbians have embraced the opportunity to reach out to seniors by sending them kind, compassionate and reassuring messages,” says Rebecca Frederick, Senior Manager, Strategic Engagement, EngAge BC. “We encourage our members to share these wonderful expressions of love and support with their residents to remind them that people across British Columbia are thinking of them this holiday season.”
We will continue to accept submissions through the web portal until January 3rd, 2021.
