Members of BC Care Providers Association and Denominational Health Association in addition to dozens of registrants interested in seniors health and housing issues attended a special BC Election 2020 Care to Chat. The program opens with an introduction by BCCPA/EngAge BC CEO Terry Lake, then remarks from our Title Sponsor representative from Rexall Health Solutions Ganas Moodley, and introductions of our 3 MLA candidate panelists — Adrian Dix, Annemieke Holthuis, Norm Letnick — and moderator Mike Klassen.
During this 1 hour 15 minute program the candidates responded to questions on the areas of pandemic response, family visitation restrictions, the political concerns raised around private and non-profit care, the future of care with an aging population, a response to Canada’s staffing shortages in the care sector, the importance of supporting aging in place, and measures to incentivize retirement living.
