As part of the Seniors Safety Quality Improvement Program (SSQIP), BC Care Providers Association has conducted an exhaustive review of 93 applications in the third period of funding, which will cover the purchase of 2,300 items.
“With that process now complete, we are excited to begin notifying all the applicants regarding the status of their grant request over the next few weeks,” says BCCPA Director of Programs Snezana Ristovski.
In a few cases, applicants will be required to provide additional information in order to ensure their application aligns with SSQIP’s five guiding principles, recommended by the program’s advisory committee. This includes working to identify measurable outcomes that can be achieved as a result of the SSQIP investment.
Next steps
The receipt of a confirmation letter authorizes care homes to begin making purchases for the approved items.
The funding letter will identify a due date to make purchases, implement the items, and submit receipts as proof of purchase. Reimbursement will be completed once the receipts are submitted to BCCPA staff. If you require an extension on the due date beyond what is identified in the letter, please contact snezana@bccare.ca as indicated on the letter.
Progress of the funding letters issued can be monitored here.
