The Mission: Manager, Corporate Accounts and Business Initiatives (Vancouver, B.C.)

Reporting to the Director, Business Development, Rexall Health Solutions (RHS), the Manager, Corporate Accounts and Business Initiatives will be primarily responsible for sourcing and securing new business and growing the base of RHS long term care (LTC) business (all sub-groups including residential care, assisted and independent living, palliative care and specialty compounding) in the Region.

Principal responsibilities:

• Source, qualify and execute on new opportunities for growth within the Region that will deliver revenue growth for the LTC segment of the RHS Business.
• Execute business plans by gathering and integrating customer feedback, competitive intelligence and assist in implementing marketing and communication strategies to ensure RHS retains its market leadership position
• Build and retain positive brand awareness for Rexall Specialty and develop consistent, strong relationships with stakeholders that will augment the clinical and distribution expertise of the Pharmacies.
• Collaborate with the Director, Business Development to identify opportunities to submit proposals and RFPs for new/existing business and be accountable to meeting requirements.
• Partner with operations to execute a systematic program for relationship management focused on customer retention.
• Prepare the required documentation to support the retention and expansion of the LTC business including monitoring of contract expiry, contract renewal, and contract negotiation
• Track daily pipeline building activities utilizing the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software
• Provide regular, tactical input in the assessment of the existing service operating model that better support the emerging needs of LTC customers
• Collaborate with the Operations teams to ensure that effective technological product improvement systems are in place to meet customer service objectives
• Provide input into assumptions for growth and retention for the annual budgeting process including the capital asset budget
• Perform other duties as assigned to support Rexall Pharmacy Group Ltd.

Required Skills:
• 5 years working experience in a business development, sales and account management position.
• University degree in pharmacy, nursing, science, business or a related discipline preferred.
• 5 years working experience in Healthcare, preferably LTC.
• Pharmacy experience (preferably with automation) an asset
• Negotiation experience and healthcare marketing experience
• Strong financial acumen, analytical P&L management experience
• Project management experience
• Strong knowledge of the market, leading players (LTC providers and Corporate / Individual Homes Owners) and a fundamental understanding of the key processes involved with providing care to residents.
• Ability to apply sound business development skills (listening, negotiating, problem solving, analytical) to determine key decision makers and influencers and manage these relationships appropriately.
• Expertise with complex multi-year contracts and RFP processes including design, submission and analysis
• Superb communication skills used to build credibility, rapport and relationships at all levels both internally and with customers
• Excellent presentation skills – present, defend and address key objections with positive benefits of service offerings
