BC Care Providers Association is pleased to announce the second application period of the Seniors Safety and Quality Improvement Program (SSQIP) opens today. Up to $2 million in funding will be allocated during this period.
The first open application period of 2018 received 88 submissions with an application rate of approximately 47 per cent of eligible care homes. Due to the high volume of applications received, $2.6 million of SSQIP funding was approved—instead of the initially allocated $1.2 million. View a summary of Period 1 here.
The second application period will close on September 28th. If you have any questions, please read the SSQIP FAQs and the step-by-step application guide, or contact the Director of Programs Snezana Ristovski at snezana@bccare.ca.
BCCPA would like to thank the SSQIP Advisory Committee for their support in helping establish this important program.
