Helen Wei-Randall is the Program Lead, Home and Continuing Care Data Management at the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI). With over a decade of experience in healthcare information, Wei-Randal will be speaking to CIHI and interRAI’s new home care quality indicators and how they can support quality of care improvements for home care clients across the country.
These new indicators are risk adjusted and enable jurisdictions to compare data, promote discussion and collaborate on improving the quality of home care. They also:
- Are highly relevant to the home care sector.
- Include 16 new indicators that address areas such as caregiver distress, reduced community activity, falls and injuries and functional decline.
- Are based on quantitative evidence and international results.
