#BCCPA2018 Session: Leverage Technology to Create Healthier, Sustainable Living Spaces

Facility managers can lead the charge when it comes to creating and maintaining healthy sustainable care homes. As traditional maintenance and operations models shift we will see more cost-effective solutions to implementing smart and healthy building strategies.

Smart and healthy buildings integrate technology and energy systems to include automation, energy management, indoor air quality, life safety, telecommunications, user systems and sustainability management systems. They provide actionable information about a building, its performance, the people and the space in a framework that all users can meaningfully interact with.

This session will review available technologies and strategies for implementing these initiatives, as well as discuss what the future of care could look like. The content will appeal to healthcare providers of all kinds including facility management and operations teams and sustainability professionals.
