Conference Communiqué: Welcome reception hosted at Squamish Lil’ Wat Cultural Centre

For the first time, this year’s 40th Anniversary Welcome Reception will be held at the beautiful Squamish Lil’ Wat Cultural Centre, located steps away from the Fairmont Chateau Whistler hotel. The cultural centre was built to showcase the art, history and cultural of the Squamish and Lil’Wat Nations. Locate the Centre on Google Maps.

A traditional singing and drumming welcome customary of the Squamish and Lil’Wat nations will welcome you.  Guests will have the opportunity to explore the exhibits, experience a short video, and connect with a First Nations ambassador during the event.

The evening will feature a culinary experience with a coastal aboriginal twist. Grazing stations and passed canapes will served in the Great Hall and Istken Hall with views of Lost Lake and the Garibaldi Mountain range providing the back drop. Each guest will receive a complimentary drink ticket and additional drink tickets are available to purchase from our cashiers at the event. An ATM is available on site as cash is required.

This event is included with all conference registrations. Spouse/partner tickets are available to purchase for $75 + GST by modifying your registration. A limited number of tickets are available to purchase on site.

  5. Click on the registration link by your name.
  6. Add Spousal/Partner ticket to your registration
