JOP POSTING: Resident Care Manager – Evergreen Baptist Care Society
Evergreen Baptist Care Society has an immediate opening for a Resident Care Manager on its growing team. Reporting to the Executive Director of Care and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Resident Care Manager facilitates excellence in nursing for complex care residents by providing clinical and administrative supervision, support and direction to Nurses and other care team members including Care Aides and Recreation Therapy staff through expert nursing practice, consultation, education, and participation in research. The Resident Care Manager assists the Executive Director of Care in coordination of staffing and services including evaluation of care practice and liaison with outside agencies such as Fraser Health Authority. The Resident Care Manager helps ensure the Evergreen Care Department is delivering the highest level of excellence in clinical care while balancing Evergreen’s desire to be as proud of the smiles on their resident’s faces as they are of their clinical outcomes.
A primary immediate goal of the new Resident Care Manager will be to help effectively transition current Evergreen residents and staff into its new Evergreen Terraces home which is scheduled to open in September, 2016. This exciting new state-of-the-art complex will become home for 199 residents and will provide an optimal living and working environment for residents and staff alike. When the new building opens, Evergreen will have a total of 249 complex care seniors living on its campus, in addition to 110 Independent Living apartments, and 84 Assisted Living suites.

Education, Experience and Abilities required for this role include:
- Registered Nurse in good standing with CRNBC
- MA preferred (but not mandatory)
At least five years experience in Residential Care setting with minimum 2 years in supervisor capacity
- Completion of a Gerontology certificate/program would be an asset
- Ability to support the Mission, Vision and Values of Evergreen Baptist
- Knowledge of best practices in Theraputic Recreation programming
- Attention to detail and excellent administrative and time-management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel
