The BC Care Providers Association has received a flood of registrations in the last 24 hours since opening registration for the fourth member exclusive workshop. The session titled, Resolving Conflicts and Protecting Persons in Care: The Advanced Specialty Certificate in Community Care Licensing, will be presented by the Justice Institute of BC(JIBC) and offers an overview of the content of the new Advanced Specialty Certificate in Community Care Licensing (CCLO) offered by the JIBC and its application to the role of managers of care homes.
“Over the past several months, we have received incredible interest in our new pilot workshops,” says Hart Dashevsky, Director of Membership Services and Sponsorships. “The goal of these workshops is to bring our members exclusive sector-specific training in care home operations and providing person-centered care. With such a terrific response to our latest workshop, we are pleased to announce we will be green-lighting a series of additional workshops.”

Resolving Conflicts and Protecting Persons in Care: The Advanced Specialty Certificate in Community Care Licensing
The Advanced Specialty Certificate in Community Care Licensing was implemented in 2013 to support the consistent delivery of training to persons who are involved in licensing of care facilities in BC. While the training is geared towards persons who wish to become Community Care Licensing Officers, it is also appropriate for residential care operators who may wish to learn more about how an increased understanding of the licensing process may help them to improve their own systems and processes in support of maintaining licensure for their facility. In this workshop participants receive an overview of the program curriculum, entrance requirements and other program details.
