#TellThemYouCare Messages – April 30

Stay healthy! We love you! – Skyla, Surrey

Hello how are you? My name is Carter from Chilliwack. I hope you are healthy and staying safe. I hope the corona virus ends soon so you can see your friends and family. 👪

The students of my class have created cards and drawings with you that they would like to share. Over the past few weeks, we have been extremely aware and grateful of all efforts in the medical system and our care providers. Thank you for taking care of the more vulnerable population, and for helping us stay safe. We are forever thankful for each and everyone of you.

Hi how are you? I hope you are well. I am doing my school work at home. I am looking forward to sunshine so i can play outside. I hope the world goes back to normal, and that everyone is healthy. We painted rocks to leave in the community. Here is a picture.

Hope you see your family again soon. – Logan, Chilliwack

Dear all BC seniors, you are not alone during this hard time. We will get passed this together. If you are feeling lonely I know how you feel. I haven’t seen any of my friends or anyone that isn’t immediate family. I cannot see my grandparents and that is hard because I’m close with them. We are close to flattening the curve so hopefully this will end soon. Stay strong and be positive.

Hi I write to you today to say, I’m proud of you for staying strong through all of this. I know it must be hard to not see your family face to face during this pandemic, but you and all of your families are all so absolutely beautiful, strong and brilliant. I hope that you and your family can remain safe during this time of crisis. You should never ever forget how much you are loved and missed in times like this. I hope you are able to see your family soon and you are doing well until then! – Emily, Kamloops

Stay at home and be safe! – Pedro, Maple Ridge

Hello,
My name is Milena. This whole corona virus thing must be very scary. You have faced a lot in your life and you can do this. My family promises to everything that they can to protect you. The older people in our community have built the foundation for the rest of us to learn from their mistakes and build off of their triumphs. My grandfather is elderly and has a compromised immune system. Everyday he lives in fear and I know that you must feel it to. Stay strong and power through this. Utilize the power of technology and try your best to communicate with your family and friends. We are apart but can remain together. – Milena, Kamloops

Hello,
I hope you are doing well. My family and I have been doing well. While we’ve been staying home we have watched some movies. We remember: We Are Not Stuck At Home, We Are Safe At Home. We miss seeing our seniors. I hope you are able to connect with your friends and family in some way. I have attached a photo of the rocks I painted for a school project. I hope this letter brings a smile to your face. – Chloe, Chilliwack

I hope you are all safe at home and don’t forget to social distance :) – Jacob, Chilliwack

I can’t imagine how crazy it must feel to live in such a stressful and tough time for you right now and not being able to see your family members. . It’s never fun to be told to stay away from the people you care about in order to be safe but we are all hoping this can be over soon and  we are staying home as much as we can. I haven’t been able to hangout with my friends that much and when I can, I’m barely able to go close to them. So I facetime, calling, or zoom is the best option to just talk to them and feel closer already. I know a lot of celebrities are doing fun zoom calls to join or you can listen to your favourite actors talking to you about all the best news to keep you positive, if you need some happy news or some laughs. – Haley, Kamloops

I pray that you stay safe and healthy all of these days. I hope that this is over soon so that you can be happy and live your best life. – Santiago, Maple Ridge

Hi, my name is Hazel. I’m from Kamloops B.C and I’m currently in grade 9. After learning about the corona virus I have found out that the seniors all over the world are the most at risk. I very much hope that you guys are getting all the help you need in these challenging times. I decided to make a list of some things that you can do in your free time while we are waiting for the virus to end.
– do a puzzle
– communicate with family members(facetime, call, text, even write a letter)
– get a new hobby
– read a new book, I really like the book “Little women”
– do some knitting
I hope these ideas helped you all keep busy and I hope you are all staying healthy and safe.

Hi, my name is Neerav, I’m 12, well turning 12 on September 12. I’m just trying to say thank you for holding on during this Covid 19 crisis. Keep holding on because I know you can do this. Its ok you may be missing your family in self isolation it’s only another couple months. I hope this message helped and the Corona virus goes away fast. This isn’t anything too crazy like any other viruses we have had because I believe this generation is not ready. Everyone is stuck to their phone, even me, but I try to limit but still people aren’t ready, we all aren’t and we are all scared that’s why I hope everyone understands that its serious. I hope they are safe or even if doctors find an antidote. Stay safe and keep your head up, and be happy. – Neerav, Surrey
