BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) is proud to celebrate the exceptional passion and commitment of those who provide the best quality of life for older adults in B.C. Every year throughout the past decade, the BC Care Awards recognize and honour the inspiring work and dedication of those working in the continuing care sector.

The 11^th Annual BC Care Awards ceremony will be held March 4th, 2025 at the Fairmont Empress in Victoria, B.C. Elected officials, as well as BCCPA member organizations and stakeholders, will be in attendance to celebrate and applaud award winners. The Minister of Health will be invited to present the awards.

Categories

Nominations are being accepted in the following categories:

• BC Care Provider of the Year
  • Awarded to a care provider or support worker in the home health, assisted living, and long-term care sectors employed by one of our members who has demonstrated a commitment to quality, compassion, and excellence in delivering and/or supporting the delivery of care to one or more of our residents and/or clients.

    • Assisted Living 
    • Long Term Care 
• Family Champion
  • • • Recognizes the significant role of families in the care and comfort of seniors.

• Workplace of the Year
  • Presented to an active member site that demonstrates staff engagement, recognition, and a significant change in workplace culture.

• Ed Helfrich Long Service Excellence Award
• • Awarded to a member owner/operator or a member employee/contractor who has a 15+ year industry track record of developing and delivering quality care for individuals in care.

Prizes

• All expense paid trip to Victoria and a two night stay at the iconic Empress Hotel
• A beautifully crafted engraved crystal heart trophy
• An official award certificate to commemorate their outstanding contribution
• A full profile on our website and social media
• May be invited to our Delegate Day and meet with elected officials at the BC Legislature and attend Question Period as special guests.

Eligibility

Nominees must work for a BC Care Provider Association member organization. The Family Champion nominee must receive care from a BC Care Provider Association member organization.

Nominate

BCCPA member organizations are encouraged to elicit nominations from their staff. Management will review and submit one nomination per site. All nominees will be profiled on our website.
