Assurity® — The Mark of Quality in Home Health & Independent Living
Today’s seniors and their family members are savvy consumers who understand there are many choices when it comes to home health or independent living providers in their community. However, it can still be challenging to identify which operators uphold high industry quality standards.
Developed by BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA), Assurity® is B.C.’s quality certification program for home health and independent living. The program offers a practical framework for meeting and exceeding industry standards, while helping the public make informed, confident choices about services. It also equips organizations with tools and resources to evaluate and enhance their internal policies, procedures, and overall service delivery.
In creating Assurity® as a mark of quality, BCCPA consulted extensively with leading experts in the home health and retirement living sectors in B.C., and engaged seniors and their families through focus groups.
Built intentionally from the ground up, the Assurity® quality certification program has become the standard for excellence in Western Canada.
Why Assurity®?
Assurity® provides B.C.’s home health and independent living providers with a practical, accessible pathway to meet and exceed recognized industry standards. Through the certification framework, providers gain tools to enhance service delivery, strengthen internal practices, and demonstrate a strong commitment to quality and accountability.
Cross-promoted through Route65.ca, the Assurity® mark also helps seniors and their families make confident, informed choices when selecting services.
How to Apply for Assurity®
Now is the time for B.C.’s home health and independent living sectors to bring the Assurity® Approved advantage to their organization.
