BCCPA to launch the Interior Administrators’ Network (IAN)

Each health region has its own dynamics. When opportunities to strengthen seniors care emerge, they are often best addressed through local collaboration. BC Care Providers Association is pleased to announce that the Interior Administrators’ Network (IAN) will hold its inaugural meeting on April 16, 2019 from 12 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. at Brandt’s Creek Mews in Kelowna, B.C.

The launch of IAN will give service providers in the Interior Health Authority region a forum to exchange information and ideas, address common issues, and generate solutions to advance continuing care.

“I am looking forward to attending the first IAN meeting in person. Launching this network is a key part of BCCPA’s 2017-2020 Strategic Plan, and our efforts to support the work of care providers across our province,” says Daniel Fontaine, BCCPA CEO.

“We are very pleased to be able to provide a forum for care providers to come together and collaborate,” he continues.

Fontaine will be attending IAN as a part of a listening tour he will be performing in the Interior. He expects to spend several days meeting with seniors care providers to hear about the issues they are facing. Throughout the tour he will also be meeting with elected officials and local media to discuss issues such as the health human resource crisis.

IAN will be modeled on the successful Fraser Area Administrators Network (FAN) and the Vancouver Island Seniors Administrators Network (VISAN) which was launched by BCCPA last spring.

The Network will be open to long-term care, assisted living, and home health care providers within the geographic boundaries of the Interior Health Authority, and both members and non-members are invited to attend this quarterly meeting.
