BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) congratulates Cynthia Johansen on her appointment as new Deputy Minister of Health.

“Having worked with Cynthia in the past as Minister of Health and CEO of BCCPA, I am confident she will bring strong leadership and experience to the Ministry,” says BCCPA CEO, Terry Lake.

Cynthia is currently the Registrar & CEO with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), working with the college until April 1, 2025. For the last 19 years, Cynthia has brought people and organizations together to apply best practices and collaborate on shared regulatory approaches, driving transformation across the industry.

“We look forward to collaborating with Cynthia and continue to make positive changes to address the challenges facing seniors in B.C.,” adds Lake.
