BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) proudly congratulates our CEO, Terry Lake, who received the prestigious King Charles III Coronation Medal for his leadership and contributions to healthcare education. Terry was presented with the medal on March 25, 2025, at a ceremony in Surrey, B.C., alongside other recipients nominated by the National Association of Career Colleges (NACC).
“This is really a recognition of the great work our BCCPA team, both staff, board and committee members” said Lake. “The training programs for seniors’ care providers that we manage are critical to delivering the best care to our beloved elders, and we are all grateful to our educational partners who help make this happen.”
With a career spanning multiple sectors, including his tenure as B.C.’s Minister of Health (2013-2017), Terry has been influential in expanding training opportunities for those entering the healthcare field. As CEO of BCCPA, he has cultivated strong partnerships with many educational institutions to help address staffing shortages in the seniors’ care sector. Paving the way for more opportunities in healthcare education, Terry’s leadership has had a lasting impact on seniors’ care and healthcare more broadly.
With his retirement announced earlier this year, this medal serves as a fitting and meaningful tribute to his very distinguished career.
