Lara goes above and beyond by offering personalized palliative care, providing comfort and support during residents’ final days. Mallory Gabel – Recreation Aide, The Hamlets at Vernon an Optima Living Community

Mallory is an incredibly dedicated team member at the Hamlets, known for her strong work ethic, compassion, and initiative. She goes above and beyond to enhance the residents’ experience, such as painting the dining room pillars with intricate designs because the residents love it, and organizing team Halloween costumes. Mallory also organizes staff appreciation events, ensuring vegan options are available, and personally picks up and paints new wooden flower boxes for the home. As the onboarding coach, she helps new staff integrate smoothly, and she actively contributes to developing high-quality programs. Her commitment extends beyond regular duties, with Mallory volunteering her time on days off to assist with events or helping residents by picking up library books. Always present and dependable, Mallory’s infectious smile, compassion, and creativity make her a valued member of the team and a constant source of joy for residents and staff alike.
