National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is observed on September 30th. This day commemorates the lost children and survivors of residential schools, and their families and communities. It offers a crucial moment for all Canadians to reflect on the tragic history and legacy of residential schools.
BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) acknowledges the land that we share with the Indigenous peoples and extends gratitude to them for recognizing the important role that Elders play in their communities.
We encourage everyone to participate in the reconciliation process by reflecting and educating themselves about the history, cultures, voices and experiences of the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people.
