Register for our Webinar on Fostering 2SLGBTQ+ Client-Centred Service & Professional Allyship in Seniors Living, Wellness & Care!

This Pride Month, let’s foster stronger allyship and awareness across seniors living, wellness and care to ensure that 2SLGBTQI+ (Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and those who identify as part of sexual and gender diverse communities, who use additional terminologies) senior residents and clients feel that they are seen, supported, and included.

Join BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) and EngAge BC for a webinar with Mischa Oak (he/him), a 2SLGBTQI+ advocate, strategist and collaborator who has dedicated his career to helping others foster diversity and Two-Spirit & LGBTQ+ inclusion excellence. With his company LGBTQ Corporate Training, Mischa advises and provides training for multinational companies, development projects, organizations, First Nations and school districts.

Mischa will provide industry-specific strategies for your frontline staff and team, as well as client-centred service considerations to increase 2SLGBTQ+ client satisfaction, safety, and empowerment.

His latest strategy work involves extending LGBTQ+ inclusion excellence into industry, AI-based tech, and internationally exposed organizations.  His advocacy career includes working for same-sex marriage legalization, coordinating Vancouver Pride, and advocating for transgender rights in the BC school system. Mischa Oak is a Loran Scholar and holds an MEd in Social Justice Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning.

Join us this June 11th and learn how to foster communities and environments where every Queer senior across the continuum feels valued, respected, and celebrated for who they are.
