New MLA Engagement Guide for BCCPA and EngAge BC members

BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) and EngAge BC is committed to working with the provincial government to advocate for the collective needs of our members. To continue to strengthen the seniors living and care sector’s relationship with the provincial government, the Association is pleased to release our MLA Engagement Guide.

The new guide is intended to help our operator members build strong relationships with local MLAs, bring attention to key issues and help MLAs understand the needs of their constituents. It offers tips and tools for engaging with MLAs, including what to do before, during and after a meeting, how to address MLAs in different positions, and offers information you can use to prepare for your meeting, such as key messages and facts about the sector.

Through this guide the Association hopes that the needs of the sector and the seniors in supports can be further amplified.

View and download the guide here. Please note that logging into our member portal is required to access the document.
