This week, June 5-11, 2023, BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) and EngAge BC recognize B.C. Seniors’ Week and the significant contributions of BC Seniors.
“By the end of the decade, close to one in four Canadians will be seniors. That represents a 17 percent increase between now and then,” says Terry Lake, CEO, BCCPA & EngAge BC.
“Often, our Association speaks to the steps we need to take to prepare for an aging population – both in terms of infrastructure and workforce. While this continues to be true, seniors’ week provides an opportunity to focus on the considerable achievements and contributions of older adults.”
“Every day, seniors are contributing to our society as volunteers, caregivers, mentors and valuable employees,” continues Lake.
