In December of 2020, EngAge BC established a Home Health Committee to provide guidance on the Association’s priorities and positions relating to the work the Association does on behalf of its members which deliver home health care.
Earlier this month, Margot Ware, President of Shylo Home HealthCare, was appointed as the new Chair of the Committee. This follows the retirement of former Chair, Stasia Hartley.
Margot is a Registered Nurse who has almost 30 years of experience in the home health care sector and is well known for her leadership across the North Shore business community and throughout B.C.’s home health sector. She has been an active member of EngAge BC’s Home Health Committee since its inception. Margot will also assume the role of home health representative on EngAge BC’s Member Council.
Additionally, Danny Birch, founder & Co-CEO of Hero Home Care has been appointed to the committee as a member at large. Over the past 13 years Danny has led his team in delivering over 1,000,000 hours of in-home care to over 3,000 families in need. Danny began his journey into home care after the experience of his 93-year-old grandmother needing care at home and the challenges his family would go through. Shortly after graduating from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Commerce degree Danny set his goals on redefining how care is being delivered to seniors in our community and creating the most trusted home care brand in Canada.
EngAge BC is grateful for Margot and Danny’s contributions to the Association.
