BCCPA attends PICS Mega Job Fair as an exhibitor

BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) had the pleasure of attending the Progressive Intercultural Community Services (PICS) Mega Job Fair this past Monday, February 6th at the Italian Cultural Centre in Vancouver, B.C. The job fair saw over 5,500 job seekers from across the Lower Mainland.

The Association attended as an exhibitor and shared information about our vocational programs, as well as the Facilitating Access to Skilled Talent (FAST) Seniors Care Initiative. Launched last year, the program helps immigrants, who are seeking to start their careers in the seniors’ care and living sector, through self-paced, online employment preparation and competency assessment tools. The program is now recruiting for food services/culinary workers, recreation assistants and home health companions.

BCCPA would like to thank PICS for the opportunity to connect with prospective workers and all of the job seekers who have visited our booth to learn more about opportunities in seniors’ care.
