Care to Chat’s upcoming session, titled Time to Care: What is the appropriate number of care hours?, is only two weeks away and BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) is excited to announce its final panelist of the event. Ann Marie Leijen, CEO of Maplewood Care Society, will be joining our important conversation on care hours.
Prior to her role as CEO at Maplewood, Ann Marie was the CEO of Cheam Village and Glenwood Care Centre. She has 30 years of leadership and operational experience delivering community-based health care programs for older people in long-term care. Ann Marie has also been actively involved in organizational strategy and planning; finance; property development and facility construction.
Ann Marie holds a BSN from the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) and an MBA from the University of British Columbia (UBC). She was appointed to the UFV Board of Governors and has served on the Agassiz-Harrison Community Services Board. Ann Marie continues to work as a Project Coach in the Physician Leadership Program at the UBC Sauder School of Business.
Since 2021, she serves on the BCCPA Board of Directors after previously serving from 2016-2018, where she actively participated in the Quality Improvement Committee.
