BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) is inviting the sector to join us for an in-person Care to Chat event at the Terminal City Club on October 20th, next week. Titled Should I Stay or Should I Go? Tips for Employers to Retain Valued Team Members, this session will kick off our tenth Care to Chat season and will feature industry-leading panelists, including John Bethel, EY National Health Care Leader.
As EY’s National Health Care Leader, John and his team serve Canada’s leading health organizations to better improve the health care system. John previously served as the former Associate Deputy Minister and COO for the Ministry of Health. He was also on the Board of Fraser Health, where he was Chair of the Quality and Performance committee. John obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Toronto, as well as his Master of Business Administration in Organizational Analysis and Strategy from the University of Alberta.
Hear what John and our other panelists, including Kathy Nduwayo, VP Operations at Park Place Seniors Living, and Christine Sorensen, Past President at BC Nurses’ Union, have to say when they bring their expertise to the conversation on October 20th. The panel will answer questions like:
- What are some of the practical organization and sector-wide strategies for retaining the current staff we have?
- What are some of the sector-wide strategies to recruit new staff?
Tickets are $85 for members and $135 for non-members and include a three-course lunch. Registration closes October 17th.
