September 30th marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. On this day, BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) and EngAge BC would like to take the time to honour the lost children and survivors of residential schools, as well as the families and communities who mourn for them. This day is an important reminder for all Canadians to take the time to reflect on the tragic history and the generational legacy of residential schools.
Video statement from CEO Terry Lake on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation:
To participate in the ongoing path to reconciliation, BCCPA and EngAge BC will observe this day for reflection and commemoration.
