On January 15th, BC Care Providers Association held a virtual ceremony to celebrate the graduation of 13 students from our HCA Training Program with Stenberg College. The students are from two cohorts based in Salmon Arms and Kamloops with students residing in Kamloops, Salmon Arms, Falkland, Vernon, and Armstrong.
Everyone at BCCPA and Engage BC congratulates all graduates for completing the program. We recognize their diligence and commitment for choosing to enter a career path to serve others on the front-lines during a time of critical need. We thank them for their perseverance to see the program through during the midst of the COVID health crisis and wish them the very best as they commence their career as healthcare assistants.
The HCA Training Program has been successful in providing vocational training and guidance for individuals interested in careers as health care aides. The opportunity for this program would not be possible without the support from the Ministry of Advanced Training & Education and Community Workforce Response Grant (CWRG), we are grateful for the funding that was provided through the Canada-British Columbia Workforce Development Agreement. Thank you to all for providing this important career opportunity for our grads!
We are currently recruiting for the next cohorts of the HCA Training Program in Kelowna, Nanaimo and Vernon, classes are scheduled to start in February 2022.
