HaIL Training Program is recruiting for the Lower Mainland

EngAge BC’s Home Health and Independent Living (HaIL) Training Program is now recruiting students in the Lower Mainland!

Despite challenging restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic, HaIL kicked off this year with an online delivery of courses for two cohorts in Vancouver Island and Okanagan. Upon completion of their course work, most of our students were matched with job placements for work experience in home health and independent living.

Two virtual graduations were held during October and November where instructors, staff and students connected online for a joyful celebration.

With continued support from the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Training, HaIL remains as a free six-week training program for individuals interested in becoming health companions or hospitality workers in independent living. Students of the program are also eligible for financial support to cover for transportation and childcare expenses.

The deadline to apply for the next cohort in the Lower Mainland is January 7th, 2022.
