This year’s holiday greeting is a poignant one for us because we know all of you must be feeling overwhelmed by the rapid succession of public health updates in the past several days. Just over a week ago we could feel our spirits lifting as case counts dropped and care home outbreaks were few and far between.
Our team at BC Care Providers Association and EngAge BC relished the opportunity to have a holiday social gathering, while of course respecting all the important public health protocols including conducting rapid tests in advance. The photo above shows us on a clear evening last week, with the Metrotown skyline (home of our Burnaby office) in the backdrop.
As the traditional winter holiday season approaches, everyone will want the opportunity to reconnect with loved ones. We hope you can and will do so safely.
To everyone who will be working over the Christmas and New Year’s Day statutory holidays to care and support seniors, we extend our appreciation for your compassion and dedication and send you our very best wishes.
While the BCCPA office will be closed from noon of December 24th, 2021 to January 3rd, 2022 (inclusive), we also recognize that during these extraordinary times we must be on standby should urgent issues arise requiring our support. The out of office email auto-responses of our management team members will include contact details during this period.
