Attention care home operators: are you involved in the selection of materials and infection prevention measures during construction, renovation and/or additions at your seniors living or care home?
Our next Lunch + Learn will provide an overview of the objectives of the CSA Z8000 standard which is a comprehensive, nationally-recognized baseline for the planning, design, and construction of healthcare facilities based on leading research linking better facility design to positive patient outcomes.
Learn how it relates to the OASIS principle and the requirements of the CSA-Z317.13 standard concerning the selection of flooring materials and infection prevention measures. We will also discuss the antimicrobial efficacy of building materials, explore environmentally sustainable strategies and support the valuable conversation around the importance of embodied carbon reductions to support high performance HCF throughout the life of the building.
Upon completing this continuing education course you will be able to:
- Define the OASIS principles for Healthcare Facilities.
- Learn about the natural anti-microbial efficacy of linoleum.
- See the durability, clean ability, resistance to moisture and chemical damage control of linoleum in healthcare.
- Discover how environmentally sustainable strategies and innovation help to support high performance Healthcare Facilities over the building service life.
