Care to Chat Season 8: A Discussion with Health Minister Adrian Dix

Adrian Dix speaking at BCCPA event

B.C.’s Minister of Health has been central to the province’s COVID response

BCCPA and EngAge BC are very pleased to announce the next installment of our Care to Chat speaker series featuring Minister of Health Adrian Dix who will appear for a Q&A led by our CEO Terry Lake, a former provincial health minister.

The global pandemic has touched the lives of all Canadians, and for the seniors’ care sector in particular, there have been painful and important lessons. Since early in 2020 Minister Dix has stood alongside Dr. Bonnie Henry as the public faces of B.C.’s pandemic response. While the pandemic is still impacting the entire province, the Minister is making himself available to our sector to reflect upon and respond to questions about the COVID crisis and what lays ahead for our sector.

The conversation will cover a range of topics, including:

  • Lessons learned from the COVID-19 health emergency
  • Addressing health human resources labour shortages
  • Funding and sustainability
  • The future of seniors care and living

Panelist: Adrian Dix, BC Health Minister

Moderator: Terry Lake
