Several prominent British Columbians and sector leaders will recognize the workers most impacted by COVID-19 in our province
Burnaby, BC (February 19, 2021) — This year February 23rd is officially proclaimed B.C. Seniors Care Providers Day by the Province of B.C. – an opportunity to celebrate care aides, LPNs, RNs, front line and https://bccare.ca/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/medcare-img22.jpgistrative workers who look after British Columbia’s older adults. This year the recognition has even more significance, as it is our seniors care providers who have truly borne the weight of the global pandemic over the past year. It calls for a special way to recognize over 50,000 B.C. care providers for their compassion, professionalism, and dedication.
For the past 4 years, the proclamation has coincided with an award ceremony at the Legislature in Victoria involving the Minister of Health and dozens of B.C.’s MLAs. For 2021, it will get a new digital twist.
Watch for an update on the morning of Tuesday, February 23rd where several prominent leaders from across British Columbia come together to recognize the workers who care for our seniors.
