Announcing the theme of the #BCCPA2021 Virtual Conference

Following the success of the virtual 2020 Annual Conference hosted last September, BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) and EngAge BC are pleased to announce our next virtual conference to be held from May 31st to June 2nd titled “The Three Rs: Reflection, Resilience and Reinvention.”

Reflection:  the conference will look at the firsthand experiences of health care workers, seniors, and other stakeholders during the COVID-19 pandemic. Along with highlighting some of the major obstacles, it will showcase some of the key lessons learned from B.C., Canada, and around the world.

Resilience: the conference will also demonstrate how providers have managed through a very difficult period, particularly as COVID-19 spread rapidly through the seniors care and living sector. In particular, the conference will highlight some of the successes and best practices that came to light as providers and workers demonstrated considerable leadership and courage throughout.

Reinvention: the conference will look at how care providers innovated or reinvented seniors’ care and living for the better. This includes changes to staffing and training, redesigning physical environments, as well as implementing new infection prevention and control measures to protect the safety and well-being of seniors. The conference will also look at how the adoption of new technologies may have helped improve seniors’ quality of life and reduce isolation.

Details on the call for speakers, sponsorship opportunities and virtual exhibit hall sales will be announced soon.
