In the early days of the pandemic, much of the spotlight was on B.C.’s long-term care and assisted living homes. During this time, however, home health operators were also working around the clock to ensure that the vulnerable clients they support remained safe from COVID-19, and they were often doing so with less formal guidance.
BCCPA’s 2020 conference, COVID-19: What Set B.C. Apart? will examine the journey taken by B.C.’s home health operators. Moderated by Maria Howard, CEO, Alzheimer Society of B.C., Learnings from the Home Health Sector panelists will talk about how they addressed issues such as internal and external communication, accessing personal protective equipment, pandemic pay and seeking quality information specific to their unique needs.
In addition to lessons learned, participants can expect panellists to speak about what they are doing now to prepare for a second wave.
