7th Annual BC Care Awards comes to the Hearts and Hands conference

Every day, front-line workers, staff and care providers across B.C. engage in challenging and inspiring work. BC Care Providers Association is proud to recognize and celebrate their commitment to providing the best possible care for our seniors. This year, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, those working in health care have been deservedly proclaimed heroes.

The 7th Annual BC Care Awards will be presented virtually during the SafeCare BC’s Hearts and Hands online conference for health care assistants in October.

BC Care Providers Association will not only be sponsoring Hearts and Hands, but we are proud to partner with SafeCare BC and host the BC Care Awards during the digital event. The following statement from BCCPA/EngAge BC was issued in response to this important collaboration between the two organizations:

A/CEO Mike Klassen

“B.C.’s healthcare aides and community health workers provide services at the foundation of our sector, including vital health and social services to our seniors. On behalf of the board of directors and the membership of BC Care Providers Association and EngAge BC, I express our thanks for their extraordinary contributions all year round, and in particular during the time of the public health emergency. We are honoured to be a partner in the Hearts and Hands event.

We are also very excited to bring our 7th annual BC Care Awards to the Hearts and Hands conference for the first time. Several of our awards recognize the hard work and achievement of front-line workers, and for us to be able to acknowledge them in a forum of their peers is hugely gratifying for us.
