Nearly 100 seniors, local dignitaries, seniors living sector representatives to
assemble Wednesday morning at Burnaby independent living residence

July 30, 2019 (Burnaby, B.C.): Two classic vintage convertible automobiles will greet residents and guests at The Derby Manor independent living residence for the public launch of Route 65 — a groundbreaking online tool that will bring relief to the lives of older adults and their family members who struggle daily to find the best seniors living and wellness options in their community.

BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) and operating arm EngAge BC are the province’s leading employer association for the seniors living and wellness sector. The new free Route 65 service will help families all around B.C. navigate the complexities of finding the right independent living housing, home support provider, assisted living or long-term care provider, right in their local community.

Route 65’s nostalgia-themed website combines advanced logic in the form of “Walter,” your digital concierge.

WHAT: The official unveiling of Route 65 will follow remarks by seniors living and wellness sector representatives, including BCCPA/EngAge BC CEO Daniel Fontaine; over 50 Derby Manor residents as well as local dignitaries are anticipated to be a part of the ceremony.
