What’s in store for the 2019 Annual Conference tradeshow

A dynamic tradeshow is one of the highlights of BCCPA’s Annual Conference, and this year, we have something special in store.

The 2019 Annual Conference will take place from May 26th – 28th. Over 260 key decision-makers, including owners, operators, senior management and board directors from the continuing care sector, are expected to attend the event.

“With 87 booths purchased, the 2019 Annual Conference tradeshow is our largest one yet,” says Cathy Szmaus, VP, Operations and Corporate Partnerships. “BCCPA is pleased to welcome first-time exhibitors, and welcome back the old favorites!”

Tradeshow booths, which were offered to BCCPA commercial members on October 9th, were sold out by October 11th.

Response to the sponsorship prospectus was also strong—all gold and silver sponsorships were sold before tradeshow sales opened.

“We’re so thankful to our sponsors without whom we couldn’t put on a successful event year after year, and make it the largest conference of its kind in Western Canada,” Szmaus says.

To enhance the tradeshow experience for both exhibitors and delegates, BCCPA’s Events & Recognition Committee took into account feedback from the 2018 post-conference survey, and incorporated the suggested solutions into this year’s setup.

The number of booths in the MacDonald Ballroom and Foyer were increased to 81. For the first time, an extensive waitlist was compiled with the intent of offering to set up booths in the Frontenac Foyer. Feedback was positive so six more booths were added, bring the total number of booths to 87.

“With the new changes, we expect this tradeshow will set the bar really high. We encourage our delegates to spend time at the tradeshow—it’s an excellent opportunity to expand your network of suppliers and service providers, and learn more about the latest innovations in the seniors care sector,” Szmaus says.
