BC Care Awards: Care Provider of the Year (Home Health) Agnes Trylinksi

Every year, the BC Care Awards celebrate care providers who go above and beyond delivering care to our seniors.

Sprott Shaw College congratulates their alumna Agnes Trylinski for winning the Care Provider of the Year (Home Health) award.

In this profile, we feature Care Provider of the Year (Home Health) award winner Agnes Trylinksi from Care at Home Services.

Here’s what Agnes’ colleague and nominator Rubylyn Engstrom had to say about her:

Agnes has been working with one of our community clients living in their home. She has been instrumental in helping to identify and develop a plan for a safe working environment as the client’s medical situation has become more complex over the last two years.

With her proactive approach and open communication with our LPN case managers, Agnes had brought forth many helpful suggestions to adjust the plan of care to ensure the safety of the patient as well as the team of other health care professionals that work with the client.

Agnes is the lead trainer for new LPN staff that have been assigned to provide client care. She has been acknowledged by the family as a leader within the care team. The LPN case manager will leverage her skills and abilities to make changes to client care as required.

Agnes has demonstrated above-and-beyond care for the safety of our clients and the care staff that work on the team. She inspires the team to look at innovative ways to improve the quality of care, while maintaining the highest level of safety for her coworkers. She looks at new challenges with a solutions-focused approach and is well-respected by her team.
