2019 BC Care Awards: Amazon e-gift card winners announced

On Jan 9th, BC Care Providers Association (BCCPA) announced the winners of the 6th Annual BC Care Awards after receiving a record number of nominations from care providers across the province. These awards recognize the very best among thousands of dedicated and compassionate employees who are making a difference in the lives of British Columbia seniors in care every day.

The winners were selected by the Association’s Events & Recognition Committee. The awards will be presented by the Hon. Adrian Dix, Minister of Health, at a ceremony in Victoria, B.C. on February 19th, with dozens of invited guests present including B.C. MLAs, BCCPA members, Ministry of Health staff, and key stakeholders from the seniors care sector.

The call for nominations was announced in October 2018. As an enticement, BCCPA offered people the chance to win $50 Amazon e-gift cards by nominating a friend/colleague for the awards. The winners were randomly selected from the group of nominators.

BCCPA is pleased to announce the four recipients of the gift cards. Congratulations to our winners:

Aman Thind

“It’s no easy feat to select winners from such an impressive pool of contenders,” says Cathy Szmaus, VP, Operations and Corporate Partnerships. “We’re extremely thankful to all those who took time out of their busy lives to submit thoughtful and thorough nominations that help us make informed decisions to identify the most exceptional workers in the field.”
