2019 Annual Conference theme announced

“The Q Factor”
What is it? Do you have it?

The 2019 Annual Conference will focus on “The Q Factor” in the continuing care sector. What can owners, managers and staff do to improve quality of life for clients/residents? What does quality in seniors care entail?

This conference will explore how government and the sector can implement real change to improve seniors’ quality of life; highlight best or promising practices from B.C., Canada and around the world; assess current quality of life initiatives, services and programs; and identify how they can be improved upon.

“‘The Q Factor’ is about sharing valuable insights on how we can improve well-being, independence and social supports for seniors, and empower them to live with dignity in a caring and inclusive society,” says BCCPA CEO Daniel Fontaine. “To help seniors to age well, as well as provide more support to those who look after them, is the ultimate goal.”

The Call for Presenters for the 2019 Annual Conference is open. BCCPA is accepting presentations on quality in long-term care, assisted living, home health, workplace health and safety, and faith-based care. Please submit your abstract proposal and speaker information by no later than January 4th, 2019 to Michael Kary, Director of Policy & Research, at michael@bccare.ca.

Delegate registration opens on February 1st. Stay tuned for more updates.
